Watercolourist Shirley Black is the featured artist this month at the North Gower Branch of the Ottawa Public Library.
The Artist of the Month program has been ongoing for more than 20 years, and was started by staff member Karen Craig, who lives in North Gower, to showcase local talent.
Shirley Black is resident of Manotick Ontario, and lives on the Rideau River; she also spends time each year in the Rideau Lakes, and many of her works depict wonderful scenes of Ontario life. Trained as a biologist, Shirley has always had a keen interest in the outdoors.
Please visit the library to see Shirley’s work; for information call staff at 613-489-3909.
